Top-seeded Bernard Tomic during his eventually postponed quarterfinal match on Friday.

Following Friday’s early end due to rain, the Greenview Development & Majestic Realty Men’s Pro Tennis Open will start early on Saturday, 9 a.m. All singles quarterfinal matches will be played, beginning with No. 5 Colin Markes leading  No. 1 Bernard Tomic  by 6-3, 0-3 and No. 6 Andres Andrade leading  No. 3 Alexander Cozbinov, suspended at 6-3, 2-2.

Following the end of Cosbinov and Andrade’s match, Brit No. 2 Jack Pinnington Jones, an incoming freshman at TCU, will face the Danish former Longhorn Christian Sigsgaard for a spot in the semifinals.

Wild card Micah Braswell, a junior on the Longhorn tennis team, will face the only surviving qualifier, Eric Hadigian, a Pepperdine senior, after the end of the Tomic and Markes match.

In the doubles semifinals, the third-seeded team of Martin Breysach and Demetris Aziodes will take on Chad Kissell and Joshua Sheehy, following the conclusion of Sigsgaard and Pinnington Jones’s match. After the Braswell-Hadigian match, Phillip Henning and Tyler Stewart will face Tadeas Paroulek and Zsombor Velcz.

Following the doubles semifinals, the singles semifinals will be played. The doubles finals will be played at the conclusion of singles play for the day.

NOTE: Because of the UT football game, preceded by  ESPN Game Day starting at 8 a.m., the parking rate in the East Garage increases to $40. Expect very limited parking options near the Texas Tennis Center and heavy foot and car traffic. Tournament organizers HIGHLY recommend car shares or drop-offs to the tournament.
