It was all Lui Maxted in Austin this week, as the rising Brit pulled off the rare sweep — champion in both singles and doubles — capping off one of the strongest runs of his young career.
Maxted, the 21-year-old 2024–25 NCAA Doubles Champion and a NCAA Singles and Doubles All-American, showcased exceptional form closing out the singles final with a 6–2, 6–3 win over Andreja Petrovic and delivering composed, high-level tennis in both draws.
This victory marks Maxted’s third singles title of the year, following his triumphs at the M15 and M25 events in Monastir, Tunisia. In doubles, the Austin title represents his seventh professional doubles championship, with six of those coming during the 2025 season, underscoring his rapid rise and consistency across both disciplines.
Maxted has been competing on the professional tour full-time since June, shortly after graduating from TCU earlier this year. After concluding his collegiate career, he transitioned to the pro circuit by competing in England during the grass-court season, laying the foundation for the impressive momentum he has carried through the rest of the year.
