Today’s women’s final delivered all the momentum swings one could hope for in a championship match. American Mary Stoiana emerged victorious in a hard-fought three-set battle against Japan’s Mai Hontama, winning 2–6, 6–3, 6–4.

This marks the 7th edition of the Dropshot Series Women’s Pro Tennis Open since its debut in 2019, continuing its tradition of showcasing outstanding professional tennis in Austin, Texas. With today’s win, Stoiana earns a main draw wildcard into the 2026 ATX Open and secures her second professional title.

Born in Southbury, Connecticut in 2003, she has rapidly become one of the top young American tennis talents. A Texas A&M graduate from the Mays School of Business, she put together one of the most decorated careers in Aggie history before transitioning to the pro tour.
